I want to share a quick story about my past and how I earned $48,912.63 so far from Google Adsense.
When I was 18 years old I started a few web properties and learned SEO so I could get free web traffic. My best web property was a community website for gamers and started making $50-$150 a day during my best days! It was pretty exciting and I learned a lot.
If I look back at it, it really did not take too much time or effort to make this happen.
Your question is probably what happened?
A few things, I used some black hat SEO tactics which affected my rankings and my earnings turned from $50+ to $20+ in one Google Algorithm change.
Whomp Whomp!
Then over time, there was a need to transition over to a mobile app and I did not have the energy to take on risk. It would have cost me a huge investment and I was not ready for that in my early twenties. So I just let it earn revenue over time and started to focus on other businesses.
Here is my Adsense History Report: “Pretty cool right?”
So here is my Simple PlayBook:
It is not rocket science and it does take a bit of effort, but if you follow these steps below you can make a decent amount of money.
- Learn SEO so you can rank for long-tail keywords to start driving traffic to your website for free: https://moz.com/learn/seo
- Create a community website, this gives users a reason to come back: https://sumo.com/stories/online-community-from-scratch
- Capture Email Addresses on your website so you can send newsletters to bring more web traffic to your website.
- Your community website should have a registration page that will capture email addresses. Then you can use Mailchimp or some email marketing platform to send newsletters.
This is not rocket science but you need to make sure you can pick a niche you can compete at some level.
Remember, you do not have to be a big brand or the best website out there to earn money online. You can capture .001% of a multi-million dollar market and still earn a decent amount of money from AdSense or other affiliate programs.
Good luck!
